Self-powered Fixed-temperature Fire Detection Sensor
A fire detection sensor that sends a signal using the heat of rising temperature, with no wiring or batteries
The world's first self-powered fixed-temperature fire detection sensor that needs no wiring or batteries. When the temperature rises, the SMA expands or a glass bulb breaks, moving the sensor, and that force generates electricity to send a signal. So it attaches directly in tight spaces, industrial sites and aging facilities where installation is difficult.
- PowerSelf-powered (no battery)
- Dust · water protectionIP57
- Transmission rangeapprox. 100 m (open field)
- Operating temperatureapprox. 75–85 ℃ (SMA type) · 90 ℃ (glass bulb type)
- ReuseSMA type can be reused after cooling
01How it works
- Heat (fire · temperature rise)
The sensing element reacts when the set temperature is reached.
- Thermal energy → kinetic energy
The SMA expands, or the liquid in the glass bulb expands and breaks the glass tube.
- Self-powered generation · RF transmission
That movement generates power to send the signal.
- Real-time monitoring
The situation is communicated via Signal Monitor, Sensor Hub, PC and text messages.
02Features
Operates on thermal energy with no wires or batteries.
Attaches in places that were hard to install and manage, such as distribution boards, switchboards and cable ducts.
Suitable for various environments, including outdoor switchboards.
Alerts on the PC screen and by text message via the signal receiver.
The SMA type can be used again once the temperature drops.
03Types
When the temperature rises, the SMA expands and actuates the sensor. Operates at approx. 75 – 85 ℃ or above and is reusable.
A glass bulb containing a special liquid whose volume changes with temperature breaks at approx. 90 ℃ or above to actuate the sensor. Not reusable.
The sensing element is 11 cm longer than the standard type to detect temperature rises deep inside cable ducts and in narrow spaces.
A type that detects the temperature (around 80 ℃) of switchgear busbars.

09FAQ
QAt what temperature does it detect?
The SMA type operates at approx. 75 – 85 ℃ or above, and the glass bulb type at approx. 90 ℃ or above. The busbar · cable joint platforms alarm at temperatures of around 80 ℃ or above.
QDoes it need replacing after it operates once?
The SMA type can be used again once the temperature drops. The glass bulb type operates by breaking its glass tube and cannot be reused.
QDoes it replace fire detectors for fire protection?
This sensor is for supplementary monitoring that gives early warning of temperature rises in places where conventional detectors are hard to install, such as switchboards and cable ducts. Please review fire protection equipment standards together according to site conditions.
